Global Projects Geo-Survey Investigation can deploy up to 3 rotary drilling rigs for use in the geotechnical investigations conducted: the smaller rigs are able to drill boreholes to 25m in depth, whilst the heavy rigs can reach depths of 50m or greater, depending on the sub-surface structure. Global Projects has deployed the rigs both on land and in the shallow waters off the coastal areas of Tamilnadu, mounting the rig on a jack-up barge for the latter application. The rigs are equipped with a full range of fittings for rotary drilling and coring, including SPT split samplers, Shelby Tube samplers for cohesive soils, and thick-walled Dames & Moore samplers for denser materials. The Operators are all skilled, trained operatives with many years of experience on the rigs in Tamilnadu.
